Arthur J. Queen:

The man, The mogul, and the legacy

April 17, 1942 - March 10, 2023

Arthur Jerome Queen was born on April 17, 1942, in Brentwood, Maryland, to Stanley and Marion Queen. Affectionately known as “Budlou” in his younger years, Arthur was an all-star athlete at Fairmont Heights High School. He worked for 20 years at General Glass Company before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, with his beloved wife and children in 1985. On March 3, 1986, he started Ebony Glass & Mirror Company, Inc.(now EGM Services Inc.) Arthur grew the company into one of the largest minority-owned glass companies in the Southeast. Yet there is so much more to the ambitious and successful businessman he became. Above all, he loved the Lord and valued family.

THe Man

The Mogul

On March 3, 1986, Arthur established Ebony Glass & Mirror Company, Inc. (now known as EGM Services, Inc.). As a minority-owned company, Arthur faced several challenges, including sourcing materials locally in Atlanta. However, these setbacks did not stop him. Arthur’s dedication to customer satisfaction, creating opportunities for minorities, and providing second chances to people in need is why Arthur received countless awards, including induction into the Business Hall of Fame by the Atlanta Business League, spanning over two decades!
